We offer you quite a unique feature within the world of seedboxes: the ability to forward ports to your seedbox. You an do so by opening the slot you want to forward a port on, and then scroll down to 'Advanced features'. You can forward a maximum of 10 ports per seedbox. There you will find the option to manage your port forwards. To add a new port you can click on 'Request new port'. The page will refresh and afterwards you can find your external port and set the internal port your applications will use.
An example:
If you want to install ZNC and want to add a port, you can request a new port first. The external port is the port you will use to connect to the webui and the actual client from outside your box. The internal port is the one you will use to setup your ZNC client. Please keep in mind that ports are not instantly opened, but we run a cronjob every 15 minutes to do so. You can see the status next to the 'custom rule' text.
In other words: you use the external port to connect from your house to your slot, and the internal port to connect your slot to the application that is running on your box.
The different statuses are:
- Inactive: your port is not requested yet.
- Updating: your port is in queue and is waiting on the Cronjob to run.
- Active: your port is fowarded and should work normally.
